Art & Fiction. The denim scene immerses itself into the art world and bans everything ordinary. The blend of “chaos” graphics, recycled cloth, Manga comics, the snowboarding spirit, space dreams and traditional crafts has something intoxicating about it.
Colours: somewhere between the pharmacy and the che-
micals factory. Poisonous turquoise and sulphur green,
bold Japanese comic-strip colours such as violet or garish green. Pitch, liquorice and dark indigo serve as basic colours.
Fabrics: artificial surfaces, transparent, plastic-type oatings, cross-dyed solids and coloured denims. Painted details, sprayed designs, graphic prints. Raw denim and recycled fabrics are “customised” even further with“Domestos” effects or partial destruction.
